Homemade Fall Sign

I was so super duper excited with how my fall sign turned out.  I didn't take any pictures during the project, but I assure you, it's very simple.

You will need:

*Wood board of some sort (I originally pulled this board off the back of a small wood pallet-I don't even know what this type of board is called)
*Acrylic paints (I use the $.99 small tubes from the local craft stores)
*Paintbrushes
*Words/phrases types and printed in various fonts and sizes

What to do:

*Start by painting the base of your board.  I mixed my white with some brown to make it an off/dirty white color.  Allow to dry.
*Decide on the words and/or phrases you'd like to use on your board.  Then, decide on the placement of each word.
*I completely free-handed each of these words, but I used the printed words as my reference point.  Using various fonts and sizes on the computer, I used those printouts to "copy" them onto the board. It does mean that they aren't as perfect as a stencil would produce, but I'm okay with that.
*Add any other decorations to your board.  I painted a small leaf and then some swirly brown lines around the four corners.
*Allow to completely dry.

Our sign is a part of our fireplace mantel decoration scene.  I love it!
