Preparing for back to school

And so it is that time of year again.  School.  It's a week before I get a new set of eager 5 year olds ready for their kindergarten year.  This also means I have a week left of crazy planning, prepping, and *doing* to get everything all ready for my new kids and their parents.  So much to do!

Although I've been working 2 days a week through the summer, it is very different, and does not feel like school at all.  Something about the fall brings a sense of order to my life.  It makes me plan things out a little better.  It makes me organize more efficiently.  It makes me bake more and do more from scratch.  Pumpkin Spice Lattes made with fresh pumpkin anyone?   I.  Love.  It.

Any other back-to-school, organization, fall weather lovers out there?

  1. YOU KNOW IT!! Fall is the best. Mo just said yesterday to me in a sing songy funny voice... " Oh Noël October is coming you know what that means?" To which I was thinking huh... no what does that mean? He said, smelly spicy candle season. Apparently the spice smell makes him happy too. Yay!!
We are already one week into some back to school stuff, although the first day isn't until the 5th, Em has already been everyday this week there for Vball practice. I'm excited to see who God will bring to us for teachers, and your parents are so blessed to have you Mrs. Jessica.

  2. Fall candles are the BEST. I am sure of it. I can't believe how big and beautiful your children are getting. It is so crazy to me! I hope they love their teachers this year. That always makes a big difference.
