This Week's Goals & Plans
Ben is gone for the week. I took the week off from work so that I wouldn't have to jungle so much on my own. In the past, I would tend to spend a lot of money when Ben was gone. The reason? I'd get bored and decide to either go shopping or take the kids out to eat/Starbucks, etc. I would quickly spend money simply out of boredom. This week, I am vowing NOT to do that. I don't want to fall into those old shopping habits, nor can I afford to. I may have to do a small grocery trip this week, but for the most part, I will be using food that we already have to feed my family. Here is an outline of my goals for this week:

Those are great goals Jess. It really is a challenge to not spend a single dime in 1 week. Crazy but true. Being snowed in helps :) only now this week I feel I have more money to spend. Tsk, Tsk, I know!
ReplyDeleteOh, My goals well... I am so glad you asked. I am working on getting up with my hubby again. I have been slacking on this because he gets up at the butt-crack o dawn, but since it was his birthday yesterday... and your anniversary (Happy Anniversary btw) I decided that would be a great motivator. So far so good. Except, I am really tired and was so tempted to get Starbucks today. Which brings up my other goal, no sugar. Started the first of the year and it is really, really hard. Oh and I always need to get back on board with exercise.
Getting up with your hubby is such a great goal! So hard, I'm sure, being early! I think, though, that it will make him feel awfully special to know that you are getting up early just to see him. As far as Starbucks goes, I was going to do a post tomorrow on how to make different Starbucks drinks at home! You will save so much money, and you can even buy the sugar free syrups to keep the sugar out! Have you tried substituting honey for sugar in your recipes? I do that in quite a few recipes (that or agave). It depends on what you're making, but it works well as a sweetener and is much healthier! I don't think I could EVER give up sugar. You're brave!
