When it was ready, I threw it in the oven to bake. I warmed up some of yesterday's apple butter, and when the bread was done, we spread the warm apple butter on top. Let me tell you, this more than lived up to my expectations. It was so, so, so, so good, and I'm betting that this breakfast will quickly become a "regular" in our house.

Fresh Bread and Homemade Apple Butter
So yesterday I tried out the CrockPot Apple Butter recipe. It was delicious! Before heading to bed last night, I whipped up a triple batch of bread. No, I do not have a bread machine, and yes, it is very easy to make great, fresh, homemade bread. I spent a little money on this cookbook: Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day, and I absolutely love it! If you're looking for some great, easy bread recipes, I highly suggest this cookbook. Anyway, before bed I whipped up a batch and stuck it in the fridge. When I woke up this morning, I set out a portion of the bread to rise before baking:
